Ferberite with Siderite.
N13BIK9: Ferberite with Siderite
Parallel growth of prismatic crystals of Ferberite partially covered (totally on the rear) by Siderite crystals, most of them doubly terminated.

Ferberite with Siderite.
RH66H7: Ferberite with Siderite
Parallel group of prismatic crystals well defined, bright and having well defined terminations. The matrix is formed by tabular crystals of Siderite.On the back side is a minor crystal, probable Scheelite, visible with the UV light. Curiously, Scheelite is a scarce species at the Panasqueira Mine.

Fluellite with Metavariscite.
NC11L4: Fluellite with Metavariscite
Very interesting sample of Fluellite partially coated, on the base, by a thin white layer of Crandallite. The characteristic light violet color is seen and the Fluellite is positioned on a covering of green yellowish Metavariscite in small globular aggregates. All on a black carbonaceous slate matrix. In the deposit one can find Fluellite totally replaced by Crandallite.

Fluellite with Metavariscite.
NA63L4: Fluellite with Metavariscite
Excellent group of Fluellite crystals with well defined faces and edges and good brilliance. Color varies between colorless to yellowish. They show perfectly the truncated bipyramid. On a grey botryoidal aggregate of Metavariscite. All on a black carbonaceous slate matrix.

Irregular aggregate of pink-violet crystals of Fluellite, on matrix, very well defined and partially covered by botryoidal aggregates of Metavariscite.

JM97E9: Fluorapatite with Mica
A parallel growth of three crystals. Although it is Fluorapatite, its transparency gives it a gentle color, the crystals are tabular and the prism is quite thin. The elegant layout of the crystals on the matrix of Muscovite gives it a nice touch.

Thick tabular crystal group, one of them clearly dominant. Excellent color, transparency and brilliance. On a small Muscovite crystal matrix.

MJ87Q6: Fluorapatite with Muscovite, Quartz and Dolomite
Very aerial aggregate of bright tabular crystals that have very well marked faces of a flat dypyramid, strong color zoning, darker on terminal faces and clearer on the dipyramid and prism, forming the “steer eye” as it is popularly known in Panasqueira. The piece is a complete floater and is especially elegant due to the esthetic growth of the group on the matrix of Muscovite. It is from one of the last great finds in Panasqueira, the year 2003.

Group of cuboctahedral crystals on a base of massive Quartz. The coating of microcrystalline Quartz has been eliminated with hydrofluoric acid to enhance both the crystallography and the real color of the Fluorite. The sample comes from an American state where Fluorite is very scarce.

Group of crystals of considerable size bigger than usual, with a rare double habit. There are two phases of growth very well marked by their intensity of color. The first inner phase is bright and deep violet, and the second phase, more whitish and less bright, in which there are the cube and the triangular faces of the octahedron, that allow the presence of the vertexes of the primitive octahedron similar to small pyramid on a plane.
