Doubly terminated Quartz with inclusions.
NQ46P2: Doubly terminated Quartz with inclusions
Group of crystals, one of them clearly dominant, very bright and with abundant carbonaceous inclusions, on a small matrix of Barite. The sample is from a recent find of a big geode in the locality. Unfortunately only a few specimens were saved and complete. The Emilio mine is very well known for colorless Fluorite crystals but Quartz is very uncommon there.

Doubly terminated Quartz with inclusions.
TM47N6: Doubly terminated Quartz with inclusions

Group of Quartz crystals, one of them dominant, doubly terminated and with very sharp faces and edges. Although its uniform smoky tones are not very deep, the transparency is excellent. In the Folch collection card one can read that this sample, collection Nr. 4.147, was obtained by exchange in 1950 with Herr Sulzbach from Zurich (Switzerland).

Doubly terminated Spinel.
TC80E6: Doubly terminated Spinel
Large crystal of Spinel in which the octahedral form of the crystal is very visible, although the faces are not flat as there are many sub-faces due to parallel growth. It is a floater, but there is a contact on the rear. The color and brilliance are not bad but the best feature, without doubt, is its size. Really big!

The piece is as esthetic as mineralogically interesting. Elongated, with very well defined faces and edges and green color with bluish areas on its intermediate zone. Its termination is sharp and complete, formed by the flat face of the pinacoid and the faces of a rhombohedron. In its lower termination the crystal is partially hollowed and has acicular growths of the same Elbaite and furthermore it is joined on its back to a skeletal wall of a second crystal, also with acicular growths.

Elbaite (Paraíba).
EN37P5: Elbaite (Paraíba)
Excellent crystallization for this variety, well known as "Paraiba" in gemology, which characteristic is that it is almost unknown in defined crystals. For that reason, the piece must be considered as very unusual. The crystal has a double termination in one of the tips, with a slightly deformed acute rhombohedron. Color and transparency are very good.
